Our story

When our founders were still working for an employer, it struck them that almost every department worked in a data-driven way, except HR. Decisions about reviews, development and compensation were often based ongut feeling.

The numbers also show the same trend: 4 out of 5 employees experience their performance process as unfair (Gallup, 2024). And 86% of workers do not feel encouraged to grow in their jobs, leading to job hopping and turnover.

Time for fair, more objective evaluations. But the ultimate solution did not exist yet. So in 2018, the three brothers Rick, Paul and Joost Kuijf chose to personally shake up the HR market with Learned: software for objective performance management.

With success. By now, more than 250 companies are using our software to improve performance, increase engagement and reduce employee turnover. Those benefits in turn make organisations more agile than ever – able to respond to rapidly changing market conditions, and the needs of new generations of workers.

Review team members fairly and objectively, with the help of the latest AI technology embedded in our HR software. By first setting a clear standard for reviews, and then collecting ongoing feedback automatically, you minimise the risk of biases and subjectivity.
