Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Learned better than a free survey tool?

Free survey tools fall short in the following areas:

    • There is no understanding of the involvement of high performers. They are stand-alone applications with no connection to performance data. So it is not possible to filter average engagement for that of your high performers. So in theory, you could still be negatively surprised by the departure of a high performer.
    • In addition, it is difficult to interpret the results because they cannot be compared to an industry benchmark. As a result, HR is getting started on the wrong topics.
    • These tools do not provide the ability to conduct short Employee happiness surveys throughout the year. They are intended only for an annual Employee happiness survey. As a result, they do not offer real-time insight. Thus, any events that negatively affect sentiment go unnoticed.
    • There are also other practical limitations such as: limited/no possibility for anonymity, no scientifically based questionnaires and no concrete suggestions for improvement.
Why is Learned better than a consultant's Employee happiness survey?

An Employee happiness survey by a consultancy falls short on the following components:

    • Real-time insight is lacking because it is a stand-alone process that is often only conducted on an annual basis. Thus, any events that negatively affect sentiment go unnoticed.
    • There is no understanding of the involvement of high performers. It is a stand-alone process with no connection to performance data. So it is not possible to filter average engagement for that of your high performers. So in theory, you could still be negatively surprised by the departure of a high performer.
    • Also, these services are often relatively expensive. Money better spent on initiatives that help you improve employee engagement.
Why is Learned better than a specialized Employee happiness survey tool?

Employee happiness survey tools fall short by:

    • There is no understanding of the involvement of high performers. They are stand-alone applications with no connection to performance data. So it is not possible to filter average engagement for that of your high performers. So in theory, you could still be negatively surprised by the departure of a high performer.
In what languages is the engagement survey product available?

The product is available in the 18 most common European languages. The Learned Engagement Model and accompanying questionnaires are offered in both Dutch and English. Download the Learned Engagement Model here.

How does Learned handle the security of my employees' data?

Learned is GDPR compliant and ISO27001 certified. Read more about this on our security page.

What is the cost of the engagement survey product?

The engagement survey package has a starting price of €4 per employee per month (excluding volume and loyalty discounts). Check out our pricing page or contact us for a personalized quote.

Are Employee happiness surveys and pulse surveys really anonymous?

The Learned platform is designed assuming privacy by design. By default, our surveys are set to be anonymous, with a minimum anonymity limit of three. This means that results only become visible when three or more responses are received within a team. If there are fewer responses, scores are not shown to prevent responses from being traceable to individuals. Want to raise the anonymity boundary? This can easily be adjusted while setting up a survey.

Does Learned use scientific questionnaires for their Employee happiness surveys and pulse surveys?

Yes indeed, in our engagement module we offer 90 scientific questions derived from the Learned Engagement Model. Curious about the entire model? Download it here!

How does Learned ensure that the questionnaire for an Employee happiness survey is not too long?

From the Learned Engagement Model, Learned offers two standard questionnaires: one with 36 questions and one with 90 questions. The 36-question questionnaire is ideal for conducting a traditional Employee happiness survey (Employee happiness survey). The comprehensive 90-question questionnaire is suitable for pulse surveys. Rotating the number of questions over a period of time prevents the questionnaire from becoming too long. So this way you make sure that everyone participates in the study.

How does Learned help to also follow up on the results of an Employee happiness survey?

In addition to the scientific questionnaires, the Learned Engagement Model also provides direct science-based suggestions for improving the 18 variables. This way, HR knows what they can do to improve employee engagement. Thereby, even without the intervention of HR, every manager can easily follow up on the main action points from the Employee happiness survey.

How can Learned send reminders if a survey is anonymous?

The Learned application keeps track in the database of which surveys have already been completed. When a reminder is sent, the system automatically filters for those who have not yet completed the survey and then provides them with a reminder.
